Email newsletter tips are honestly, a dime a dozen.
Emailing your list is like, the latest hot business trend, the cool thing to do.
But here’s the thing… first off, it’s not really a trend. It’s a business strategy that works wonderfully.
Next, email marketing tips for YOU, a coach, are very different from tips for say, a retail business.
Yep, that’s right, Missy!
So, on that note, I’m going to share with 5 email newsletter tips straight from Pam’s Vault of Top Secret Information AKA client-only info.
That’s right. These are powerful, impactful tips that I keep exclusively for my one-on-one clients, but because I’m nice, the weather’s gorgeous and I love you, m’friend… I’m gonna dish them out here.
For your eyes only {Bond girl of a different kind here ;)}, straight and simple.
5 Email Newsletter Tips That Can 5x Business for Coaches
1) Create a Personal Connection Via Email
One of the best things you can do with your email is forge a solid personal connection.
Do not, I repeat, do NOT, think of people on your list as numbers. Always remember that they are real people, with lives, struggles, challenges, hopes, dreams and disappointments, who’ve trusted YOU with their email address.
After one’s mailing address, an email address is the closest someone can get to being able to contact you.
Treat it with the respect and privilege it deserves.
So, now that I’m done with my #minirant, here’s how you can create a personal connection.
Let your voice shine through. Are you funny? Analytical? Straight-to-the-point? Let that voice come through bold and strong in your emails.
Use first names, wherever you can. Most email marketing systems give you the option of personalizing an email with the recipient’s name. Use that!
When you sit down to email the folks on your list, think that you’re emailing a friend who needs your help. You’ll be surprised at how wonderfully warm yet powerfully inspiring your email is.
2) Be Consistent
The next thing you need to do if you want to double, triple or 5x their business from your list need to do is to be consistent.
That’s right.
Don’t just up and email them whenever you have something to sell but forget about them for the rest of the year. Uh-huh!
Create a newsletter schedule and stick to it!
3) Showcase Success Stories
That’s right, baby! Shine the spotlight on the good work that you’re doing. Use your email newsletter to spread the word about your clients who’re crushing it thanks to your wonderful work.
People inspire people.
And there’s no better way to inspire and spur them to action than by sharing stories of people, just like them, doing great things… thanks to your coaching!
4) Showcase YOUR Story
When you’re a coach, people don’t just buy your services… they buy YOU. So use your newsletter to share your story.
What struggles did you overcome? What disappointments have you dealt with? What sets you apart from all the coaches out there?
Share your story bravely, warts and all.
5) Give Great Value
Now this one is a given, but you’d be amazed at how many coaches forget about this totally.
Newsletters aren’t only for popping a link to your latest interview or blog post.
Or sharing your speaking schedule, for that matter.
Your newsletter must be chock full of actionable content that your readers can take, use and be blown away with so that when you do come to them with an offer, they’re already S.O.L.D.

You are so welcome. It can be tough to stay consistent when life gets busy or you get a sudden bump in clients that demands more of your bandwidth. I like to have a bit of a stockpile so I can stay ahead of the curve in those instances.
excellent tips, pam! i think sharing more of myself (#4) – the good and the bad – created a turning point in my business. we really are selling ourselves, and something magical happens when people are able to identify a real person behind all of those words. (thanks.)
I totally agree with you April. It is all about relationships and being authentic with your audience. When I started being myself was exactly when my biz turned the corner. But not only that – it become waaaaaay easier and waaaaaaay more fun. Who knew? 🙂
